Greetings, my name is Kingsley and I am a 12-year-old Cocker Spaniel.
From a Car to a Forever Home
Before finding my forever home in Wyckoff, I lived in a car with Kevin, a Vietnam veteran. He named me King.
When he was treated at a VA Hospital, the kind doctor Ann would take care of me.
Lucky for me, Ann thought of Mary when I was in need of a permanent home.
Mary agreed to adopt me along with the rest of my human family, Frank, John and Luke.
They decided to keep a portion of my original name and added to it so it is more regal… Kingsley.
Life as Royalty in Wyckoff
Since I am a king, Mary spoils me with fresh cooked eggs for breakfast.
Back in my youth, Mary and I would run miles in the sunshine. Today, I prefer laying on the floor with sun beams shining on me while I rest.
I visit a doggy chiropractor for an adjustment once a month. When the doctor starts the treatment, I immediately relax and lie down. The treatment has worked and I didn’t need surgery!
Adventures and Favorite Pastimes
Every day I take a ride with Frank to the post office and sit in the back seat. When I ride with Mary,I sit on the console next to her.
Recently, I went with my whole family for a long car ride to Rhode Island, where my human brother John proposed to his girlfriend. The hotel room was a fun adventure.
I love the weekends when I go to our lake house. I get to roam free there which is so much fun!
Playing tug-of-war with a rubber toy is my favorite pastime. Naturally, I am stronger and I win.
I truly live like a king!
