Who says cats and dogs don’t get along? We are Mia and Poe and let us tell you we are BFFs. I am a 7-year-old hound mix and Poe is a 3-year-old black cat. We are loved and cared for by our human family Felecia, Emily and Addison.
Mia
I was rescued when I was 5months old. I love the outdoors, whether it is taking a nature walk at the Ridgewood Duck Pond, exercising at the dog park or sun bathing on our deck.
You can bet that I am keeping a watchful eye out for chipmunks and the deers that frequent my yard. I also keep an eye on the mailman and let out some loud barks to announce their arrival.
When Emily and Addison are outside, I like to join them on the trampoline. My favorite game is tug of war and my favorite treat is a pup cup from Starbucks or a chew bone.
Poe
Poe was rescued when he was a kitten and could barely walk because of how malnourished he was. Thanks to the loving care of our family he quickly plumped up.
He is a nature lover too! Whilehe doesn’t care about the squirrels or chipmunks he loves chatting it up forthe birds. Poe loves to play fetch and is always running back and forth.
You can see how much we love each other when I tumble around with Poe and when he snuggles up next to me to take a nap.
