My name is Mia and I am a 4 1/2 year old Portuguese Water Dog.
Life with Her Human Family
I am so thankful to be cared for by my human family, Mitchell, Maria, Ashlie and Jacob.
They speak to me in both English and Portuguese and I understand agua (water) and caminhar (walk).
When I go for a walk in the neighborhood, I keep an eye out for Abigail and Tory. I love to play with them.
What I don't love is water. I love the beach and enjoy rolling in the sand but even though I am a water dog i do not like the aqua!
Favorite Activities and Treats
Another favorite activity, is to go on local hikes. I especially enjoy the Franklin Lakes Preserve.
My favorite treats are home made sweet potato sticks - yum, yum.
I enjoy playing in my yard especially with my large ball. It’s my favorite toy!
A Road Trip to Florida
This year I went on a roadtrip to Florida to spend time with my human grandparents. It was lots of fun! On our way there, I visited welcome centers in each state along the way. I really enjoyed exploring Savannah and Charleston.
